Project : Web Based Trading Platform– “eMarket”
Company : Hoerbiger KT Asia Singapore

Introduction
‘Hoerbiger’ is a leading name across the Globe for Manufacturing of Valves for the Compressor. The plate type valve, widely used on majority of compressors worldwide, was designed by Mr. Hanns Hoerbiger and patented in 1895.
They have manufacturing facility in Austria, USA, UK, Germany, Czech, China and India. The Head Office (HO) is at Austria and Regional Office for Asia-Pacific is at Singapore where as the Sales Offices (SO) are of two types
1) Non-ERP SO (Taiwan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, New Zealand, Korea, Thailand etc.),
2) Local-ERP SO (Japan, China, India, 2 in Australia and Singapore).
The HO at Austria runs SAP, SO at Singapore uses AccPac. The SO at India uses InfoERP and Japan & China uses Exact.

Challenge
• All the SO’s in Asia Pacific had to communicate with HO at Austria for all their requirements such as quotations, Pricing, Material Availability information, Supplies etc. This also led to a situation wherein the SOs were not in a position to get the best Rates and information as regards to the right Product Supplier / material availability status. The situation created a need to have a single location / 2 tier interface from where all the enquiries from the SO can be handled which required a paradigm shift in the current way of operations and a call for the entire Business Process Re-engineering.
• The Majority of Local ERP SO were reluctant to login to any software system, created a need to develop an common software interface for exchanging data between eMarket, PS ERP’s and local ERP’s.
